Tirana Airport, Albania · Line support on request
AK Aviation, based at Tirana Airport, combines scheduled and line maintenance with specialist exterior polishing and aircraft cleaning for business jets, turboprops, and selected helicopter types.
Capabilities
Maintenance protects airworthiness. Polishing and cleaning protect appearance, residual value, and the condition in which the aircraft is handed back to the crew.
Daily and weekly checks, defect troubleshooting, component changes within approved scope, and coordination with the continuing airworthiness organisation.
Scheduled inspection packages, access and panel work, corrosion findings, and structured return-to-service preparation inside the hangar.
Paint correction, oxidation removal, and a controlled finish on fuselage, nacelles, and composite surfaces using aviation-approved compounds.
Dry wash, wet wash, bug and exhaust removal, and salt or industrial fallout treatment suited to Adriatic, Balkan, and transit operations.
Leather, veneer, soft goods, galley, and lavatory cleaning with materials compatible with OEM interior specifications.
Pre-charter, pre-sale, and arrival standards that combine technical readiness with a documented surface and cabin condition report.
Polishing
Aircraft paint is thin, heat-sensitive, and often mixed with polished metal and composite. AK Aviation treats polishing as a measured process: assess the coating, mask sensitive areas, correct only where required, and seal.
Cleaning
Cleaning is scheduled around maintenance access so panels, probes, and sensors are protected, and so the aircraft is released presentable.
Approved detergents, controlled water use, and protection of pitot probes, static ports, engines, and landing-gear bearings. Dry-wash options are available where water restrictions or quick turns apply.
Seat leather conditioned, veneer wiped to specification, carpets extracted when required, and cockpit screens and switch panels cleaned without abrasive products.
Maintenance
Rectification and inspection are planned so polishing and cleaning do not interfere with open panels, wet sealant, or cure times. Findings are recorded before surfaces are closed and finished.
Method
Review the work order, coating condition, open defects, and areas that must remain masked.
Cover probes, inlets, sensors, and fresh sealant. Confirm product compatibility.
Complete maintenance tasks, then wash, correct, and polish in the agreed sequence.
Inspect the finish, restore removed protection, and issue the work and condition record.
